About Gujarati Samaj

Gujarati Samaj of Southwest Florida was formed in 1987 by a handful of individuals whose main purpose was to bring families of Indian origin together to celebrate the rich culture and festivals associated with India.
 
Today, this Gujarati Samaj has a membership of over 200 families and individuals who not only get together to celebrate main Indian events such as Diwali, India Independence Day and Republic Day, but also hosts various other occasions that are important to Gujaratis. The Association is a non-profit organization whose main purpose is to operate as a charitable and educational organization promoting the understanding and tolerance of people of Indian origin.
